Your idle is too high causing the surging idle between low and high. It worse when the brakes are applied because the computer cuts fuel to the injectors then a few seconds later put fuel back in the system. Just take a flat head screw driver and...For the remaining battery capacity and battery gauge to be the most precise (linear relative to throttle from full to empty) when using battery capacity monitoring users should use the milliWatt hour unit for the The average power draw at zero throttle needs to be specified (idle_power setting in 0.01W unit).
Nov 18, 2020 · "A vacuum gauge needle that vibrates rapidly at idle and then seems to smooth out with rpm can indicate bad valve guides or a bad cam lobe" This guy is suggesting some problem with the valves on number 2 Easy to check, swap the vac gauge hoses on 1 and 2.
After disconnection of the power supply, the idle speed might change or fluctuate briefly until the throttle valve adjusting unit has been readapted. The mixture adaptation is also lost. After the battery is connected, you must do following:
I adjusted the warm idle screw once the bike reached at least 3 bars on the temp gauge turning it clockwise to raise the rpms. Now it idles at about 1k at least, but I don't hear the fluctuating anymore. I also decided to go to a dealer nearby to get the CEL checked. When I got there, the light was still on.
Mar 14, 2020 · In some high-mileage cars, the engine may run rough at idle or even stall after replacing the battery. This happens because when the battery is disconnected, all learned settings in the engine computer, including the idle speed, are reset. For this reason, some older cars may require the idle speed re-learn after the battery is replaced.
At idle, the alternator often "hunts" between charging and NOT charging. If the engine speed is raised just a little bit, then the problem should go away. If you had this happen while you were driving the car, then you may have a voltage regulator going out.
Well I left the battery unplugged for 12 hours. Took it for a 40 mile drive and the idle still fluctuates. Only does it when I'm stopped at a stop sign or in traffic or when it's in park. Idle just jumps up and down continuously from 600 to 800. If I give it a little gas and hold it at 900 it doesn't do it.
Apr 09, 2020 · An oil pressure gauge can fluctuate for many reasons, including an actual automotive problem as well as reasons like fluctuation in oil temperatures. In most cases, the gauge will fluctuate to indicate low oil pressure. When the gauge fluctuates to indicate high oil pressure, it is often indicative of a pressure relief valve problem.

Subject: Re: idle surging/fluctuation, 9/13/00. From: "F.R. Wilk" [email protected] << The idle starts out fine, and only seems to go nuts once the engine warms up or has been running for a while. It fluctuates from around 900 up to 1600 to 1900, but never seems to go above 2000 rpm. Test the battery~ hook up the voltmeter to the battery and start the bike (on draw test). If the volts drop below 10.5 at startup the battery is bad. Test the rectifier~ hook up the voltmeter at the battery while the bike is running. Twist the throttle. The volts should fluctuate between 12.8 (idle) and 14.6 (3000 RPM). I have 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L and I noticed a couple days ago that while on the freeway going around 65-70, I would let off the gas and my rpms would drop to around 1200 and the needle would just be bouncing/fluctuating up and down from 1200-1800 rpms. It only does it when I'm on the...

A bigger battery will reduce/eliminate it. Happened on both mine and the truck. Went away when I swapped my batter to the Sears PM-1. If it's relatively small movements, then I'd say normal. If it's huge swings, then you have a problem (bad ground, bad battery, alt going out, etc).

Oct 20, 2004 · After a short time, the voltage decreases to approx. 12V or less (confirmed with a digital volt meter and read at the battery terminals). This happens at idle, with accessories on. I know the voltage should not decrease below 13.3V or so to the battery. The voltage gauge will also fluxuate while driving. Nov 22, 2011 · When I got in my 2002 Honda Accord after work today, I started the car and noticed that it sounded a little louder than usual while idling. About a minute or two later (still idling), the engine started revving repeatedly -- RPMs were fluctuating from about 1000-2000. I logged my TPS yesterday after reading your post and mine does the same thing it fluctuates between 12.1 and 12.5 (+/- .4v) but it does not affect my idle at all.. I really doubt it is anything to worry about. I do have a new oem TB with all new sensors on it that I have been meaning to install so I will let you know if the new one does the same. In gauge mode, if the MAP reading fluctuates a lot at idle, the hose to the sensor may have to be orificed. A .0185 to .025 inch MIG welder tip can be used. Naturally aspirated engines with small intake plenums and over 300 degrees of camshaft duration may work better using TP rather than MAP. Now i have the battery from the m3 which i know is good in the car and a new alternator. Battery light is still on. At idle the battery reads 13.58v, at idle with the lights and all electronics on it reads 13.28v, the gauge cluster shows 13.6v with the lights off, and with the car off the battery reads 12.25v. Anybody have any ideas?

The idle of engine is erratic with the air conditioner on since it is engaging and disengaging due to the low idle speed < 500rpm. By not using the air conditioner the idle speed will return to its normal speed of around 600 to 700rpm but still fluctuates slightly. Later that day drove into our nearest city about 30 min away and upon exiting the highway and braking for the first stop light it began to idle very rough and I noticed the Temp gauge was fluctuating rapidly and going completely dead to zero when foot was on the brake. Dec 24, 2003 · It is definitely unacceptable. The charging voltage reads outside of specifications at idle according to a voltage meter hooked to the voltage regulator. The alternator gauge needle moves to the right of midpoint with acceleration. This type of gauge movement has always occurred on other old Chryslers I've had before but to a much lesser extent.

The modification involves supplying battery voltage from the battery stud (B+) on the back of the generator using a 0.5-millimeter wire and a ring connector. Next install the appropriate female terminal on the end of the wire and put it into the terminal d position in the new connector (15306009) and install the connector on the generator. Battery voltages always fluctuate as they discharge, so you definitely don't need "the exact same numbers". Also, an AC power adapter does not have to connect to exactly the same point in the circuit as the batteries, so you shouldn't put too much stock in the power adapter specs for the purposes of battery selection.
